My young cousin is being bullied by 10 girls older than her. My sister is coming up against brick walls when dealing with the schools Anti-bully policy which seems to be 'Exclusion' accompanied by a 'like it or lump it' attitude. The mother of the main bully seems as unintelligent as her daughter and refuses to discuss the matter in a civil manner. What happens when most legal avenues are closed off to you ? - I rang the school to ask for the Anti bullying policy as its Anti bullying Week hi-lited on their home page - I was asked if I was a parent, I replied 'No i run a Teen site ' oh, we will get back to you - they havent. Since 1999 all schools were required to implement a anti bullying policy but most research shows that bullying has remained the same or got worse.
TEEN SUICIDE AS A RESULT FROM BULLYING IS VERY APPARENT -THERE ARE 4000 TEEN SUICIDES A YEAR IN THE UK.
Are the schools themselves scared of the repercussions or do they simply not have the resources and experience to deal with it ?
DEAR SCHOOL GOVERNORS, WHATS EASIER TO ATTEND ? A KIDS FUNERAL OR AN ANTI BULLYING ASSEMBLY. MM
